I guess it's because you come into every interaction fresh, huh? Even if I told you "don't talk to so-and-so, they're mean," you'd probably still do it and form your own opinion.
Yeah... stuff like grudges is pretty exhausting, so I don't bother. And no matter how horrible somebody is, I tend to like them anyways. So I always think it's worth giving people chances.
But in a way, isn't that like saying to the first person, "I think it's fine for you to be treated poorly" when you'll still be friends with someone that's mean to them?

Is it...? Being treated poorly isn't fine, but... everybody in the world's pissed off somebody at some point. I wouldn't be able to make friends with anybody.
If someone is mean to me, that's just kind of a given... [ Uh? What an attitude to have, but okay. Moving on. ] But if someone hurt me, I wouldn't want anyone who cared about me to treat that person very kindly.
Knives are lighter than swords, and you can always throw them to keep people at a distance. If anybody tries to throw one at you, and can catch it. They're pretty versatile.
