[ as per Valvatorez's insistence, he's come to pick her up for weapon training... But at the armory, she's still just looking over all of the weapons. She's having trouble picking which one to use. ]

Something lighter would be better...

[He's there with what looks like a heavier sword in one hand. But that's mostly for him.]

There are some one handed swords and some spears with wooden handles.

A one handed sword sounds okay.

[ she thinks on this for a moment. ]

I guess using something like a knife is more dangerous, since you have to be closer to get someone, right?

While a knife is easier to maneuver, you're going to be much closer to your target.

Spears have a longer reach, but you have to be more mindful of the positioning.

Sword it is, then.

[ she takes one out and tests the weight. Feels weird... ]

I can just slash this around, right?

[ ... seems like she's warmed up to the idea?? ]

You see much less hesitant today.

she's only more cheerful because she thinks swinging a sword around is funny... ]

[ perhaps not the best way to look at weapons, but okay. also that doesn't tell him anything about its weight or anything, oops. ]

Is it easy for you to keep swinging it, or do you think you'll get tired after a few minutes of vigorous slashing?

I think I can handle something like this.

Just because you think you can handle it doesn't mean you actually can.

[Val says nothing, but he does watch her start to look tired as she swings it around.]

... How long would a sword fight even last, really?

It depends on who you're fighting. It can take hours if you're matched in skill.

Then I only want to fight people weaker than me.

Then you'll need to level up.

I know the UI isn't viewable right now, but of course you can level up.

There's no UI! It's not locked, there just isn't one!

You don't have any UI at all? Not even where you're from?
