I was thinking of Minato-kun, actually, if you're willing to use him. He might be your solution to ensure they're dead, provided that you can convince him to help.

No. Minato-kun probably wouldn't help with something like this. He likes everyone too much, so it needs to stay a secret. I don't think he would do something like this. He's not like me.

You don't believe so? Sometimes people only need to be convinced it's a necessity, whether that's true or not.

Though I'm sure you know him better. If you don't think there's a way you could manage it, I know I'm not close enough to do so.

[ And as far as she's concerned, that's that. So she moves on to another subject! ]

Oh, and Sol said I can't get your powers back, but that we can get you all healed up. Buuut the price is pretty difficult for me.

See if you can't find yourself a fire user, then. Heat might be a good solution-- try melting what their body is made of.

[ She's starting to sound annoyed, but it's hard to say if it's because she's annoyed at the line of suggestion or just annoyed at what she's admitting. ] The only people who like me are people who like everyone. They wouldn't do what I say if it meant hurting someone.

[ She sighs. ] He said to find one person of any element who would say they value my friendship. It's like he wants me to fail.

-I've found those sorts of tasks do tend to be that way.

[There's a little huff of a laugh, there, as he shakes his head; there's not much humor in it, maybe a little exasperated. He knows how those are.]

I don't know that it would work if it's me, particularly given that I know that's what you were asked for, but... whether it counts or not, you do know I've valued your presence, don't you?

[ Hm, well. At least she looks like she cheers up a little, hearing that. But keeps focused on this kitty. Maybe she's embarrassed...?

Anyway. The problem is that she's pretty convinced that everyone else hates her. So she's trying to think of anyone who doesn't. ]

You. Minato-kun and Valvatorez-san... Namine, maybe...? We're friends. Maybe Milla, but lately, I don't know...

[Sure, she didn't literally stab someone (that we know of,) but you know.]

... Well... Things have been a little weird after the emotion-sharing and the thought-sharing.

Ah... I see. It was similar for me with the memories and emotions, though at least the thoughts haven't been a problem this week.

She's gotten things from you that you'd prefer she hadn't, I take it.

She seems like the type who assumes the best of other people. So--something like who I actually am must have been a shock to her.

Has she seemed to be put off by you, since then? Or has she asked you about it?

I don't know about put off, but... She asked about it.

...I'm assuming that didn't go as well as you'd have liked.

It's hard to explain something like that. Something like why you feel the way you feel.

in the meantime, though, the other cat wanders over to Akane-- a little hesitant, but still there to investigate her.]

I couldn't answer even if I wanted to. [ ... but she doesn't want to.

Akane rolls over onto her back but doesn't make a move towards that second cat. It can come hang out if it wants to. ]

... Anyway. Namine is earth. Valvatorez-san is fire, or Minato-kun. You for water...? Maybe Julius-kun for air. Ugh.

I'd start with those and see how things go-- they seem easy enough to handle, perhaps with the exception of Julius-kun. I don't mind him, but I don't know him terribly well either.

[He watches the white cat investigating her as he speaks-- close up, it's clearer it has differently colored eyes, one of which is clouded. After she rolls over, it just lays down next to her, seemingly content with her company, and he sounds amused when he continues.]

... it's a shame cats don't count. You're the only person Isame's liked so far, besides myself.

I like him. I wouldn't say we're close or anything, but I think he's cool.

[ Hope you like having Akane just. Laying on the floor. This is where she lives, now. ]

Really? They seem so friendly.

He normally hides from others besides myself, but... I suppose he takes after his namesake, in that way.

[Akane can live on the floor as long as she wants, and the cats will just chill there, tbh.]

My brother always was a little difficult in that regard.

[ She has to tilt her head back to look at Shirasu upside down. ]

You have a brother?

I- did, yes. A twin.

[It's still a little hard to correct himself to past tense, but he manages.]

... Were you close?

[ Akane is an only child, so she doesn't really know how having siblings... Works...? Can you be... Not close? ]

[wagashis]

We considered ourselves to be as one. Partly out of necessity-- twins are considered a curse, where we came from. He was meant to be killed when we were born, but Mother hid him instead.

[Maybe it's the years of hiding his existence that led to wanting to be able to speak of him now-- maybe it's just reminiscence now that he's dead. Either way, she's probably the only person who'll hear this from Shirasu.]

I was able to fulfill the desires he couldn't, being unable to come out of hiding-- and he had what I couldn't have, myself. Together, we were whole.
