Week 0 | Post Death

[ After the death announcement, Akane is making her way back to her house. She's visibly frustrated by this whole situation, and kind of... Stomping? But she doesn't look like she's particularly emotional about it. She doesn't look scared or sad.

Just annoyed.

She spots Shirasu around--somewhere. Near the houses? Who knows. After a making eye contact she seems to decide conversation sounds fine. ]

So this is how it's going to be here, huh? It's a murder mystery party?

[wagashis]

[They're in a similar boat emotionally, apparently-- Shirasu also doesn't appear to be too negatively affected, though he also doesn't quite look annoyed. His expression's more neutral as he returns that eye contact with a nod, folding his arms.]

...So it seems. It'd be nice if we had more to work with than that, but I suppose we're going to have to wait, aren't we?

[specialdog]

It would be better to have all the information so that we could think about it before tomorrow. [ she has no idea how this is going to work. ]

What kind of a god can show us all a vision but can't just say what really happened? Are they just messing with us or something?

[that... sure was a time, wasn't it. shirasu's not among the people who seem shaken or upset; he does seem a little distracted, though, seated somewhere in the library without actually reading anything in particular. maybe it's just that it's quiet.

whenever he spots akane, though, he gives her a nod, pausing a moment before he speaks.]

Well. What do you make of our answers, now that we have them?

[ Akane looks more confused than she does upset, so. Same boat. She comes a little closer, then stops for conversation a couple feet away. ]

They're still not much. People will get possessed and kill, and then it sounds like we have to kill them.

It's surprising that it was a kid, though. That put everyone on edge. [ which sounds more like an observation than anything she's... emotional about? Great. ]

[he's absolutely noting that, head slightly tilted, but there's no apparent judgment. also great!]

I can't help but feel that was a calculated move, honestly. If there was any choice of which of us to corrupt, of course it should be someone we'll be uncomfortable putting at risk.

[using someone like mary... it makes sense.]

On the other hand, it's made things harder on itself by ensuring we don't rule anyone out if it acts again.

Week 1 | Wednesday Morning

[ Hey what if we didn't talk about murder for once??? What if instead we had a nice breakfast! Akane wanders into the kitchen, because wandering into the kitchen and hoping Nana is there has kind of been her primary means of getting food.

Alas, no Nana. But, a Shirasu! ]

Good morning.

[wagashis]

[Sometimes you just want to have a nice time in the morning!!

Shirasu's there with a cup of tea already in hand, and offers her a little nod when she enters.]

Ah, Akane-chan. You're up early, aren't you?

[Is it really that early, though. He's used to people who sleep in, at any rate.]

Would you like anything?

[don't let him cook don't let him cook]

Mm... There's not much of a night life, and without my computer I get bored staying up late. [ also curfew but whatever. ] So I've been waking up pretty early.

I'm just looking for some kind of breakfast.

[ ......... she is absolutely going to let him cook. ]

Week 1 | Post Death

It shouldn't have been Nana.

[ wherever they're at, whatever they're doing, that's the first and apparently only thing Akane has to say about that. Other deaths who??? ]

Were you more fond of her than the others?

[he doesn't seem bothered by her attitude, as usual... he's just curious.]

[specialdog]

[ Hmm. Akane isn't sure how to answer that. She wasn't close with Nana. She wouldn't even say she particularly liked her...? Or, at least, she wouldn't have said it before she died. ]

... She was alright. She made me food, and we just went through that escape room together.

Maybe I'm just surprised anything would happen to her right after that ordeal.

Week 1 | Post Trial

[ Where is Akane headed after All That Mess? To the kitchens, of course! She looks exhausted, but relatively pleased with having caught the corrupted. And actually brightens a bit more when she sees Shirasu. ]

Oh, perfect! I know you're probably tired, but are you free right now?

[wagashis]

Hm-? Ah, Akane-chan.

[It's fine, they're both apparently in decent enough moods? Shirasu gives her a little nod, there, head tilted slightly.]

What is it that you need?

[specialdog]

I was hoping you could teach me to make some sweets. You said that's your specialty, right?

[ Akane literally why the fuck would you trust him after the breakfast disaster? Even if it's correct, what is your thought process--whatever. ]

[wagashis]

[The gardens are a calming place, he thinks-- so he gravitates here, when he doesn't quite feel like returning home yet. On spotting Akane, he keeps a respectful distance as he gives her a nod.]

Akane-chan. I suppose our habit of finding things out at the last minute continues, doesn't it.

[how does it keep happening.

but he gestures to her arm, there-]

Are you healing well?

[specialdog]

[ She nods back and--scoots over a little bit on the bench. There was already room enough for him, but it's a clear invitation. So that bodes well. ]

I hate the last-minute stuff. It makes it feel like everything else was a waste of time, if we had just gotten that one important hint earlier and been able to work backwards from there.

[ She sighs and lifts her arm up a little. ]

It's sore, but...

w4, tuesday?? before event stuff happens just in case

[Well, he might be trapped and left without his powers, but on the plus side? Shirasu gets some alone time now that Milla's decided he can be left unsupervised. It's kind of nice, after the chaos, after spending the weekend plagued by both real and imagined fears.

So he looks slightly annoyed when someone shows up, but when he sees it's Akane? He relaxes quickly enough.]

...Akane-chan. How are things?

[She'll have to let herself in, considering he's currently on the bed and dragging his butt to the door would have taken a long time with broken legs, but. At least someone has set them?]

[specialdog]

[ She absolutely lets herself in! And comes to sit down... Near the bed. Ish. ]

Well, you know.

[ She sounds cheerful, but what she means is: bad???? ]

You're not scared anymore, right?

w4, Wednesday

[wagashis]

[Whenever Akane next drops by, it's not Shirasu who greets her-- it's a tuxedo cat, trotting right up to the door with a friendly meow.]

Ah, Sora-kun, I told you not to bother people immediately... [The cat just looks at her expectantly, though.] But hello again, Akane-chan.

[There's a second cat in the room, a white-furred one with a single eye who watches her from where it's tucked partway beneath a blanket, but that one is content where it is for now.]

[ After closing the door behind her, Akane crouches down to pet the cat that's come up to greet her! How cuuuute! ]

Sora-kun, huh? Hello! ♪

[ Oops she forgot what she came here for. There's a cute kitty! ]

Week 5 | monday

[ Akane doesn't even really knock, she just comes in and makes a beeline straight for the kitties.

... She does not appear to have any news to share. She just likes to hang out? ]

Pardon the intrusion!

[wagashis]

You're rarely intruding, Akane-chan-- I would tell you if you were.

[He and the cats both look pleased to see her; Sora is immediately there for attention, but even Isame perks up a bit.]

Ah, good news, by the way.

I'm no longer tied to Four.

[wagashis]

[hi, akane. he's just going to come find her after that discussion, settling in wherever she is with a sigh.]

Well. Not quite the results I hoped for, but roughly what I expected.

...how do you feel about changing them?

[specialdog]

[ God she's just been. Ignoring it all. She doesn't think she can sway anyone in any direction--not that she's even passionate about any of the results either way.

But she likes the idea of being able to make a change. Whether it's good or bad. ]
