Maybe it was an accident? Like how Lea says you can cook sardines whole.

If you're making accidents that big, you're a bad cook. It doesn't make you not a bad cook just because your mess up was a mistake!

[ Good cooks are allowed to make mistakes too!!! Even if that mistakes almost kills a person. Multiple times. Everybody's human. ]

Maybe it was a new recipe... You're more confident in his sweets, though? Did he make one of the desserts at the party?

Mm-hmm! He said he doesn't cook much except for sweets. I guess everyone has things they're good at and things they're bad at...

I see... Maybe if he puts enough sugar into his other food, it'll be better?

[ Maybe the secret is treating everything like dessert, mask all the inedible stuff with sugar. ]

... Anyway, you can learn to cook from Kinjou-san, but I'm not promising I'll eat it if it's not good.

[ Undoubtedly it's for the best, and Minato's glad they had this talk; it gives him something to do over the week, little mini-goals to set for himself that seem more useful than sewing headbands. ]
