[ Not that Namine picked up on a lot of the animosity to begin with, but today Akane is a little too exhausted by the trial to still be holding onto that. Namine got her affection meter back to neutral, so... Good work.

That, or she's just always ready to casually bitch about things that annoy her. ]

That was so chaotic. It was like none of the pieces wanted to add up to anything.

The things we did figure out, a lot of it was just because of coincidences.

[ if she hadn't gotten stuck in the elevator earlier in the week, people wouldn't have realized you couldn't just open the escape hatch?? ]

And it was like--even if we had a theory for what happened, it didn't help us figure out who did it.

And then that possessed girl wants to talk as if coincidences don't count, but... Whatever. We got the end result we needed, at least.

... the person we didn't catch. Do you think that since they'll still be corrupted, they might just kill again next week? Or maybe they'll lay low...

Hmm. The corruption seems smart enough to strategize...

Normally I would say that laying low is smarter, but since we hardly had any clues pointing us at anyone else to begin with... It's not like suspicion is mounting.

Right... we'd still be back to square one regardless by next week.

We probably should have paid more attention to Tokidoki's murder. We kind of stopped there after it was revealed he was corrupted...

Do you think that one mattered? It was self defense, wasn't it?

It would help us narrow down who the other killer wasn't, at the very least.

There are still sooo many of us, here. I don't think taking one name off that list means anything in the long run.

Maybe not... it's hard to say, but I think we can say that about almost anything here. We don't know much.

It's been two weeks... Enough to establish the pattern. [ she sighs. ] We should know more by now.

I think the jump from one victim and killer to multiple really threw us off too... it doesn't seem like anyone expected that.

[ and she doesn't want to think of if there might be more in the future ]

If you think about how fast the corruption is spreading, it feels kinda hopeless, you know?

There was one person last week. This week we had to purify the darkness in that weird escape room, and there were two corrupted. At this rate, we're all gonna be dead in like two weeks.

It'll be easier if we had an idea of how long it make take to save the core. Do we just have to keep purifying indefinitely?

And besides that, I still don't really even get what that's supposed to do. Purifying the core or whatever.

... that's been pretty vague. I'm not sure if Lune or Sol know either, which doesn't help us...

It's so unfair to make us do their dirty work when they don't even know why...

What do you think of the two of them?

I like them. I think that... if you really watch them, you can tell they're really frustrated that they can't do more.

... it's probably not a fun position for them to be in. It kind of feels like the universe, or whoever is actually in charge, only brought them here so we could yell at those two instead of it.

I like Lune-san, too. I can tell they're trying their best. But I haven't really talked to Sol-san.

I think you'd like Sol. They're younger than Lune is, so they're not really as experienced... but they're very determined and nice. I think they want to make friends.

I'll be sure to talk to them sometime.

[ Although none of that struck Akane as particularly entertaining... Oh well. On a totally different note: ]

Say, Namine. We've all had a rough week, right? Is there anything I could do that would liven your spirits or make you feel energized?

Well, usually I'd like watching tv. Or carving figurines... Or eating a big, satisfying meal. That sort of thing, I guess?

Well, we can't really watch anything here, but...
