[ Akane is knocking on the door to Namine's house! Time for a visit! ]

Namineeee, are you home?

[ it takes a moment, but the door will be opening and naminé will poke her head out. ]

Is that okay?

It's fine. I have a cat in here, if you're okay with that.

[ maybe akane is not a cat person so she needs to warn her beforehand. ]

I don't mind. I like cats!

Not enough to have grabbed one like everyone else did, but they're cute.

[ she'll open the door more fully for akane to come inside

[ Wow Shirasu's cats are way cuter--she thinks, but does not say. In fact, she is kind of too surprised to say anything at the sight of that cat, and just. Steps inside silently. ]

[ naminé adores sherbert. it's fine. ]

Have you been doing well?

[ Akane sounds a little down as she finds somewhere to sit down. ]

We're friends, right?

[ she tilts her head. also, akane can sit on the bed, it's fine. ]

Is something wrong?

[ Akane looks down at her hands on her lap when she talks. ]

It's like--I thought I was getting along with plenty of people, but it seems like they don't actually like me that much. You can't get along with everyone, I guess...

[ She looks back up to Namine, seeming a bit tentative. ]

I guess I just thought it would be nice to hear that there are still friends out there that value me.

[whitewalls]

... I'm sorry.

[ she glances over at her cat, then back to akane. ]

Not everyone can be your friend, even if you want to be... but I like you.

[ Akane brightens! ]

I like you, too!

[ oh... she smiles. ]

... I'm sure there's people who like you.

Not much... Lili-san has been mad at me ever since I told her about that item, and that was weeks ago, now.

I think Lili just has high standards for people.

You can probably get her to make up with you.

She's just mad that I didn't share what I knew earlier--about your item. But I didn't know that much earlier to begin with. And isn't it kind of stupid to be mad at someone for telling you something just because you wanted them to tell you sooner? I did tell her.

[ And for doing that she probably owes Namine an apology but let's not worry about that right now. ]

... she should be mad at me then. I'm the one who asked you not to tell anyone, so you were just respecting my wishes.

I don't want her mad at you, though. If she gets mad at you, I'll be mad at her.

I don't want to make you do that. You shouldn't have to.
