[ Hey Val. Akane is sitting in... The back of a row of books in the library? Just curled up on herself, like maybe this was just the first isolated corner she could find and was closer to the meeting hall than her own house. ]

[The good(?) news is that Val often finds himself here when he needs to research. So when he sees Akane, he settles down next to her and waits for her to initiate conversation.]

[ It takes a long time. For a while she's even just waiting it out to see if he'll leave if she takes too long to speak up.

Now we do the same thing we've done each week. We need to find the Corrupted and the killers.

... We have a bad track record for that.

I can't argue that. We've managed to find the Corrupted, but it's been luck.

Can't count on luck forever.
